Back to Panic Wall
The Stellar Blade Director advises Eve to wear as many clothes as she can.

The release of the demo for Stellar Blade has given players a glimpse into the game's mechanics, revealing it to be more akin to a hybrid of Sekiro and Nier Automata rather than a straightforward hack and slash title as initially assumed. Notably challenging, players have been advised to keep the main character, Eve, covered up to avoid exacerbating the game's difficulty during boss fights. This recommendation comes directly from the game's director, Kim Hyung Tae, who suggests that maximizing Eve's clothing can significantly ease the gameplay experience.

Kim Hyung Tae elaborated on the importance of Eve's attire in an interview with Famitsu, particularly highlighting the Skin Suit, her default outfit which lacks defensive capabilities. Opting to keep the Skin Suit equipped throughout the game would escalate the difficulty significantly, akin to playing in a self-imposed super hard mode. While some players may be enticed by the challenge, it's a strategy best reserved for those deeply adept at the game's combat mechanics, as others risk frequent and frustrating defeats against enemies.

Despite the cautionary advice, it's expected that some players will still opt for the heightened challenge, especially considering the game's inspiration from soulslike titles known for their difficulty. Undoubtedly, the community will likely witness speedruns attempting to complete the game with the Skin Suit equipped, showcasing the resilience and determination of gamers drawn to formidable challenges.
