The USAF's A-10 fleet was modernized under the Precision Engagement Program, culminating in the first test flight of the A-10C at Eglin in 2005 . The A-10C adds a color cockpit MFD , helmet-mounted cueing system ( HMCS ), manual throttle and control sticks, digital storage management, improved fire control, GPS -guided weapons, targeting / sniper pods, advanced data links and integrated sensors. The A-10C made its debut during the Iraq War in 2007 .
