M4A3E8 is the last type of Sherman. It can be said to be the outstanding work of its time. The balance of various abilities is very good. Its balance of firepower, armor and mobility is improved, which is completely comparable to that of the Russian T-34/ 85 and the German Leopard comparison.

The M4A3E8 uses a new HVSS (a distinguishing feature that distinguishes it from the normal Sherman) suspension system (horizontal suspension system). Therefore, M4A3E8 is also known as M4A3(76W)HVSS. The weight of the M4A3E8 overwhelmed the original VVSS suspension (vertical suspension system), but the new HVSS allows the M4A3E8, which has become heavier due to increased armor and improved artillery, to reduce sway during travel, while the wider track reduces ground pressure. , this smooth and smooth walking system also earned it the nickname of "Easy Eight" in the mouth of the American soldiers.
