The AMX is a ground attack aircraft used for battlefield interdiction missions, as well as for close air support and reconnaissance missions. The AMX was developed in cooperation between Italy and Brazil and was produced until 1999, under the designation A-1 in the Brazilian Air Force. AMX is a high-subsonic aircraft that can fly at ultra-low altitudes, with day and night combat capabilities, and can take off and land on unpaved or damaged runways if necessary . With low infrared signature and radar reflection area, structures and systems are less damaged and easier to maintain. The electronic warfare system is integrated into the fuselage, which can mount air-to-air missiles and use the cannon in the nose for self-defense.
