The T-35 heavy tank is a multi-turret heavy tank designed by the Soviet Union during the two world wars and used at the beginning of the Soviet -German war . It was the only mass-produced 5 - turret heavy tank in the world, and it was also the largest tank in the world at that time. However, the low mobility and unreliability of the multi-turret tank were fully reflected in actual combat. All T-35 tanks were destroyed or captured in the early days of the German invasion of the Soviet Union during Operation Barbarossa , however most of the T-35 tanks lost were not destroyed by the Germans, but due to mechanical failures.
