The GTA, new for '87, was the ultimate Firebird. Pontiac stylists gave it a sleek, clean-cut body with a smooth front apron, wraparound rear spoiler and aero skirts on the lower edge of the car. Other features included monochrome exterior paint and subtle GTA badging on the front wings.
Under the bonnet was a 5.7-litre V8 engine. It produced 210 hp and had 315 lb-ft of torque. Other equipment included Pontiac's legendary WS6 handling package and 16-inch diamond-spoke alloy wheels. Revell's designers created this now-classic 1/16th scale kit of the '87 Firebird GTA when the car was still new, but this is the first time the kit has been available in decades.
