Kawakita Godzilla Bronze Statue

Hollywood Collector's Gallery previously presented a fiberglass version of large Godzilla statue which is same scale as the GODZILLA Bronze statue in front of TOHO headquarters in TOKYO. Now we scaled it down to desktop size and used Bronze material to appeciate his contribution to Godzilla movies of late Director Kawakita forever as commemorative edition statue. This piece of statue is made in a foundry of Takaoka city, Ishikawa prefecture where is known as traditional craftmanship of Bronze statues. The statue will have COA and serial number. The base design will be changed.
Hollywood Collector's Gallery (HCG) has collaborated with Koichi Kawakita, Godzilla guru and Special Effects Supervisor of all Heisei Series Godzilla movies, to produce a new prop replica of Godzilla based upon the bronze statue displayed in front of TOHO's studio headquarters in Tokyo (the Hibiya Godzilla). Koichi Kawakita has been working with the legendary Japanese special-effects director Eiji Tsuburaya since the 1960s and helped him to film most of the successful TOHO special-effects movies. Eventually Kawakita became a member of TOHO's board of directors and retired from his position in 2003. HCG approached Director Kawakita to develop their first Japanese sci-fi prop replica of Godzilla, inspired by the bronze statue near Tokyo's Hibiya Park. Director Kawakita agreed to help HCG and lend his name to a series of products known as the Kawakita Godzilla. Director Kawakita is fully involved in developing the product, lending HCG the original casting of the Hibiya Godzilla and resculpting the face and expression, as inspired by his own interpretation of the newborn Godzilla for this project. Therefore, the Kawakita Godzilla is different from the Hibiya Godzilla; his interpretation is more like the Biollante Godzilla, which is the most popular Godzilla in history next to the original 1954 version. Mr. Kawakita passed away in Dec., 2014 at 72.
