In Karsten, bloodline defines glory, yet those born to it are not always easily tamed. The Pegasus Guard traces its lineage to one of Karsten’s most ancient knightly houses. Their crest bears the image of a centaur, symbolizing a fighting spirit that refuses restraint. Compared to other noble houses, their style is more direct, more ferocious, and far harder to rein in.
It is said that their forebears performed a feat in the Battle of Four Kings that turned the tide of war, and were thus granted the rare privilege of retaining an independent command. Following later military reorganization, they were incorporated into the ranks of the Mithril Eagles, becoming a unit specially equipped for desert warfare.
As one of the Karsten military’s elite assault forces, their armor is equipped with sand-hover capability and high-speed propulsion modules, optimized for shock attacks and line-breaking maneuvers. Their signature lance-gun system, developed by the Military Engineering Bureau, integrates high-frequency oscillating blades with burst-propulsion technology. When they charge, they tear across the battlefield like roaring thunder.
Once the order to advance is given, they never look back.
Yet as the legion’s main forces gradually fell under the control of enhanced humans amid the continued advancement of Archetech, the Pegasus Guard volunteered to defend the northern frontier in order to preserve the last vestiges of their former prestige. They now patrol the wastelands and sandsea, far from the centers of power. Some claim to have seen these Karsten riders assembling in formation within the lairs of desert bandits, carrying out enigmatic missions whose true purpose remains unknown.
Even now, the Pegasus Guard remains stationed along the northern border, responsible for rapid-response sweeps and frontier deterrence.
They are the spearhead of the Karsten military in the sandsea.
