The RGC-80S GM Cannon Space Assault Type is a variant of the RGC-80 GM Cannon, and first featured in the original design series MSV-R: The Return of Johnny Ridden.
To make the RGC-80 GM Cannon more suitable for space usage, the Earth Federation developed the RGC-80S GM Cannon Space Assault Type. The GM Cannon Space Assault Type carries less heavy armor from the hip skirt to the legs, and carries more thrusters behind the legs and backpack. The loss of heavy armor also improved the suit's speed and agility, Its main weapons are a 360mm rocket cannon, a Balzac type 380mm rocket bazooka, a beam spray gun, and a pair of 60mm vulcan guns.
