Life at Midlands Park Centre - Eating #14 (Thai Cafe Reopened!)
Published 1 Oct 2021

The Kafe Armizan Shah closed after the lady boss of the cafe passed away suddenly during work hours on Merdeka Day earlier. And we assumed it might have closed its doors permanently after that tragedy..

But now it is open and accepting dine in customers again (a limited amount at a time in accordance to pandemic SOP). So I went down with fellow Panickers Faiq and Koey to grab some lunch there and check things out.

Koey and I both had fried rice with a glass of Milo Ais while Faiq tried their Nasi Goreng Ikan Masin, a glass of Teh Ais and a side plate of vegetables for the sake of a healthy and balanced diet.

The fried rice was sadly a lot saltier than I remember it. Probably the new cook will need some time to reach the level I remembered from before. I can only imagine how salty Faiq's ikan masin fried rice was...

Koey made a few discreet inquiries with the staff and the pervading theory is still that the late lady boss passed away due to high fever caused by Phizer vaccination side effects. Well, the cafe is drawing customers again so hopefully it is a sign that things are slowly returning to normal.
